In 2018 there were 3,893,834 students enrolled in school, that my friend is a large population of people you can provide a service to.
We know that school psychologists and well being coordinators serve this population; however, most of their time is dedicated to administration services less on clinical work.
Where do you fit in?
There are any number of schools and universities you can connect with and build a relationship with. Being mindful that going through the school setting you are likely dealing with red tape, funding issues, staffing problems, accessibility and logistical nightmares.
Be patient while networking, understand the person you need to speak with and above all, understand what works best for the school. Relationship building is the key component to getting your foot into the door with the school. Build your knowledge around assisting the students around test anxiety and don't be afraid to keep statistics around how students scores improve with your services.
