apprentices
trainee
Which means if you work as a provisional psychologist on an internship, you should be paid. It's a part of your requirement through AHPRA as well. If you're not being paid, go to fair work. (Placement students are not typically paid). With that said, the lines blur if you're a registered clinician in private practice under another persons business brand.
Condon Financial wants you to remember that having an ABN doesn't automatically make you a sub contractor.
American site, Diffin has pulled together a great comparison chart for the American's who follow this blog to review.
HR with Ease reminds us to pay attention to any discrepancies.
Here's the deal though. As a contractor, you cannot be forced to do anything that isn't paid. With that said, you also shouldn't be supplied any tools that require you to do the role, laptops, phones, assessment tools. It's a trade off and a balance. When done right, you should be able to flourish as a subcontractor in private practice.
