Client Reminders: Make it simple

There is a reality that your clients don't understand all of the information you provide to them in their sessions. Hence re-reminding them is a crucial way to assist with engagement. How can you simplify your client reminders?

Technology If your client is having a hard time remembering their appointments and they are disorganised at the best of times, ask them to add their diary reminders to their phone. These reminders can prompt the client of their upcoming appointments with regularity.

Old School Create a business card size reminder of essential aspects of the client journey. Couples will stop coming to therapy because they have rekindled their kindness toward each other. This doesn't mean they should discontinue treatment. Remind them! Couples should say five nice things to each other a day. Remind them! It isn't easy moving through this therapeutic journey. Help them out where you can.

Consistency When providing regularity and consistency to a client, you are not only breaking down one of the barriers clients find to treatment. You are also assisting yourself in building a better diary. If you know every client who is scheduled to come in on a Friday, it sure does make one able to relax a bit more.

Therapy is a long journey for your client. By showing them where the potholes are, they can continue in a more engaged manner.
